Rubicon Brewing Company Production Brewer

Rubicon Brewing Company is looking for a Production Brewer. Rubicon Brewing Company is proud to be the oldest functioning brewery in Sacramento, brewing great beer for thirsty customers for more than 29 years. Our midtown facility was designed in 1987 as a restaurant/brewpub with brewing facilities to satisfy the local demand. After several brewery expansions, we opened a second brewery in West Sacramento in 2013 to meet the additional demand of a thriving craft beer scene. This West Sacramento brewery serves the function of a production brewery and packaging facility for our distribution network.

Line Cook

Rubicon has a fast-paced, family oriented working environment. All Kitchen staff are expected to maintain a well-groomed appearance, follow uniform guidelines and ensure overall sanitation of kitchen area, including ensuring cleaning schedule is completed. You may be asked to receive and order product, making prep recipes and menu product to spec. A high attention of detail is required for performing all opening, closing and side duties, stocking and breaking down all kitchen equipment and prep line while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. You must be able to properly read items printed on order tickets, assemble orders and double check product quality and spec.

  • Must be at least 19 years old
  • 2 years line cook experience preferred
  • Ability to work positively in fast paced environment
  • Must be able to work in areas with limited amount of space for long periods of time
  • Basic English and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs. as needed
  • Ability to work in elevated temperatures
  • Continuous use of arms and hands
  • Continuous use of reaching and twisting
  • Able to multitask
  • Knowledge of FIFO system
  • Keeps waste to a minimum
